Alfred Blue Injury: Updates on Texans RB's Leg and Return

Alfred Blue was a pleasant surprise for the Houston Texans in 2014, leaving many fans eager to see what he could do for an encore in 2015. That enthusiasm turned into anxiety Monday night after Blue was injured during practice.Continue for updates.Blue Limps off Field with Leg CrampMonday, Aug. 3Details of the injury remain vague, but the Houston Chronicle's John McClain reported Blue looked to hurt his leg following a touchdown during evening practice. Most worryingly, the Texans used a medical cart to escort the 24-year-old away from the field.According to Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle, Blue initially walked off the field under his own poweralbeit while visibly limping.McClain followed up that Blue merely suffered a leg cramp, which likely led to a massive sigh of relief in Houston.Blue appeared in all 16 games for the Texans last year, rushing for 528 yards and two touchdowns. A bulk of that total came in a 23-7 win over the Cleveland Browns when he rushed for 156 yards on 36 carries.Arian Foster is still Houston's No. 1 running back, but he has missed 11 games over the last two years. It's fair to assume the Texans plan on getting Blue plenty of touches as long as he's healthy.Either way, he looked to have dodged a major bullet Monday.
