Benardrick McKinney Injury: Updates on Texans LB's Knee and Return

"I think hes really working hard to get back. I dont know if hell be back for the Dallas game, but I know he wants to get back. Hes chomping at the bit to be back and I think hes doing better."The Texans are slated to clash with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Aug. 30, before wrapping up their preseason slate with a showdown against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 3.Houston spent a second-round pick on the linebacker out ofMississippi State, and he didn't disappoint in the Texans' preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers. In his first taste of game action, McKinney tallied a team-high six tackles. He added three more tackles against the Broncos.While the injury pushes McKinney's developmental timetable back ever so slightly, it's not a major blow to his stock at this stage of his career. Since it's not a severe situation, McKinney is on track to be healthy enough to try to contribute around the start of the regular season.
