2016 Copa/Coca-Cola: FOSLA Academy Qualifies For Sfinals

The representatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the on-going 2016 Copa/Coca-Cola U-15 championship, FOSLA Academy of Karshi, Abuja, yesterday, qualified for the semi-finals of the competition at the play-ground of the Adelaja Girls Secondary School, Bariga Lagos.The FOSLA lads defeated the Government Model School Suleja, Niger State, by a lone goal. The goal was scored in the second minute by the tournaments highest goal-scorer Chidera Prosper who, so far, has seven goals to his credit. The FOSLA team would now play their last match in the group against the representatives of Lagos State today.The Abuja representatives had earlier defeated their counterparts from Edo State 2-0 in their first game. To qualify for the national finals, the FCT representative emerged tops at the Ilorin zone and acquired the nine points at stake to beat representatives from Nasarawa (1-0), Plateau (7-0) and Bauchi (4-0).
