Liverpool have snapped up veteran goalkeeper Alex Manninger to help bolster their ranks.The Reds revealed as much on Friday:Per Sam Williams for their official website, Liverpool confirmed he had been signed on a free transfer after leaving Augsburg at the conclusion of the 2015-16 campaign, but the club did not specify the length of his "short-term deal."The 39-year-old, who has had spells with Arsenal and Juventus during his career that now spans 14 different clubs, said:Ive still got something left, for sure, but obviously its probably not the time for me to push for the next three or four years to get a place in the goal. Because time says its not possible to play 50 games a year. But if Im called up, Im definitely there for games, I will play.
