Arsenal Transfer News: Jack Wilshere Permanent Move Discussed by Bournemouth

Published by Bleacher Report on Tue, 27 Sep 2016

Bournemouth's chairman Jeff Mostyn has revealed he believes it's possible for the Cherries to make Jack Wilshere's loan move from Arsenal a permanent switch next summer.According to Jack Staplehurst of the Express, he told the Soccerex Global Convention:I think anything is possible. The best we can do is integrate Jack into the team and help him fulfil what he wants.Whether or not we will go beyond a season, I think everything is possible. You have to be realistic and Jack may well consider his home to be back at Arsenal. If that was the case then we couldn't disagree with his decisionand the decision will be his.But if there is a possibility and [manager] Eddie Howe decides that he's somebody he wants to keep it will be up to him.Mostyn also acknowledged that if Wilshere was open to a move, Howe would need the owner's go-ahead: "He will have to persuade Maxim Demin to unload a huge treasure chest in order to keep him. That would be the $64 million questionit may even be the 64 million transfer fee!"The England international slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium after spending much of the last three seasons on the sidelines with injury.During his absence, Francis Coquelin proved himself a valuable member of the team while manager Arsene Wenger also brought in Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny, giving Wilshere a great deal of competition in midfield. His move to the Vitality Stadium gives him the chance to prove he can stay fit and get vital minutes on the pitch.ESPN FC's Iain Macintosh and commentator Ian Abrahams hailed his performance in Bournemouth's 1-0 win over Everton on Saturday:The midfielder also took to Twitter to celebrate:While it's possible a fruitful spell with the Cherries could endear them to Wilshere, it seems likely he'll want to return to Arsenal and prove himself there.Likewise, after sticking by him for so long, the Gunners will probably want him back in the team if he can regain form and fitness on the south coast. He was a real coup for Bournemouth in the summer, thoughit's understandable if they'd want to keep him.
