Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Steven N'Zonzi and Moise Kean

Published by Bleacher Report on Tue, 25 Oct 2016

Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Sevilla midfielder Steven NZonzi, although they may face competition from Chelsea in pursuit of the Frenchman.Thats according to Sport (h/t Tom Coast of Sport Witness) who have suggested the two London clubs have been impressed by the recent performances of the former Stoke City man. Arsenal are said to be ringing the door of the Andalusian outfit in pursuit of the player, who has a 30 million (27 million) release clause in his contract. The Blues and Leicester City have also been linked to NZonzi, who has excelled since swapping Stoke for Sevilla in the summer of 2015. Heres a look at why hes being tracked by some illustrious names:Such are the standards being set by the 27-year-old, Sport have dubbed him the new Patrick Vieira. Its a comparison thatd naturally make Arsenal supporters sit up and take notice. There are certainly similarities between the two. NZonzi is a mass of limbs in the middle of the park, using his imposing physique to win headers and wrestle possession back for his side. Additionally, he can carry the ball through phases of the field quickly and his distribution has improved in La Liga.So has his decision-making in the final third. Per Dermot Corrigan of ESPN FC, the Frenchman has been making a multifaceted impact:There would be obvious merits to Arsenal signing the player. NZonzi, after all, is much improved and familiar with the Premier League. The Gunners dont possess a player with the same kind of physicality as him in the middle of the park either. However, what they do have is a lot of holding midfield men. The likes of Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny and summer signing Granit Xhaka are all fine shields in front of the back four, while Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla can offer more attacking impetus in this area. At this juncture, central midfield is not an area that needs to be bolstered.Arsenal Scouting Moise KeanAccording to Calciomercato.com (h/t Football Italia) Arsenal have scouts in Italy to run the rule over Juventus prodigy Moise Kean. Its reported the Gunners will have representatives at Juves clash with Sampdoria on Tuesday, as well as the showdown with title rivals Napoli on Saturday. Scouts were also said to have been at the San Siro for the Bianconeris battle with AC Milan last Saturday, with Kean on the fringes of the first team. While hes yet to make his debut for the senior side, theres a lot of buzz about the 16-year-old. Heres a look at why:A recent injury to Marko Pjaca has propelled Kean into contention for a spot on the bench in Turin. As noted by Bleacher Reports Adam Digby, Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri has hinted recently that Kean isnt too far off making his bow for the first team:Even so, according to the report, the forward is someone Arsenal have been following for a while, having tracked his progress in the under-15s and under-17s with Juve already. The Italian champions are said to be intent on getting Kean tied down to an extended contract, with agent Mino Raiola handling negotiations. As one of the most exciting prospects in Italy, it would be a coup for the Gunners if they were able to lure the player to the Emirates Stadium. However, making such a significant move so early in his career would represent a gamble on the part of the youngster.
