Adam Humphries Injury: Updates on Buccaneers WR's Concussion and Return

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Adam Humphries is still in the concussion protocol following a Week 13 win over the San Diego Chargers and will miss at least one game as he continues to recover.Continue for updates.Latest on Humphries' Playing StatusFriday, Dec. 9According to Scott Smith of the team's official website, Humphries has been ruled out for Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints.Humphries caught 27 passes for 260 yards and a touchdown during his rookie season, and he built on that solid start by earning the Bucs' No. 3 receiver job during training camp."When I came out here last year, no one knew me," he said, according to the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud. "I didnt know anyone out here. I just tried to work hard and get noticed. Its good to come in here this year and be a guy the quarterback can rely on and earn that No. 3 spot."Twelve games into the 2016 season, Humphries has totaled 42catches for 467yards and a touchdownoperating in a receiving corps that consists primarily of Mike Evans, Russell Shepard and tight end Cameron Brate.If Humphries misses extended action, Shepard and Brate figure to be in line for expanded roles. However, Evans should continue to gobble up a lion's share of the targets in head coach Dirk Koetter's offense.
