US Steel shares are down by 17% before the opening bell after the company reported an adjusted loss of $0.83 a share versus the Wall Street expectation of a gain of $0.35. Revenue was also light, coming in at $2.73 billion versus expectations of $2.95 billion.Stock markets around the world trade mixed. Japan's Nikkei (+1.1%) led the gains in Asia, and Germany's DAX (-0.1%) is slipping in Europe. The S&P 500 is set to open up 0.1% near 2,391.Earnings reporting is heavy.
