Guys, these are some of the most comfortable jeans you'll ever wear

Published by Business Insider on Mon, 29 May 2017

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships so we may get a share of the revenue from your purchase. There are a number offactors you should take into consideration when buyingnew jeans: 64% of men say fit is crucial to their denim purchases, followed by comfort (60%), durability (54%), quality (53%), and price (51%), according to Cotton Incorporated's "Lifestyle Monitor". Whilestill relevant, style (31%), color (33%), and brand (23%) generally play a lesser role in the decision-making process. The short of it: Men care about being comfortable in theirdenim, first and foremost. If they can achieve this at a reasonable price, all the better.Fortunately, denim labels like Mott & Boware paying attention and creating their designs with these things in mind. "The biggest movement in men's denim is the transition from rigid fabrics (think 100% cotton, non-stretch) to comfort fabrics (denim compositions that have a bit of elastane in them), Mott & Bow founder and CEO Alejandro Chahintold Business Insider. "Thesefabrics give guys more flexibility and comfort."Mott & Bowlaunched its Dynamic Stretchcollection earlier this year, and itpurports to be one of the most (if not the most) comfortable jeans you'll ever wear. After living in them over the course of the last few months, the Insider Picks team feels comfortable recommending them as such. The jeans, which retail for $118 a pair, are made froma high-quality blend of cotton, polyester, and elastane for a special formulation for 35% stretch denim. You can choose between a dark blue or medium blue wash, and a skinny, slim, or straight fit. All told, they look great, and they feel even better. There's value to be had here.Tester #1: Breton Fischetti, director, business and audience development:They were thinner than some other jeans that I wear, so I wouldn't necessarily have these as my go-to pair for the winter, but I'm really excited about wearing them in the spring and summer. They feel just like normal jeans, but have a clear stretch that makes them really comfortable ' almost like the Lululemon ABC pants. I rode my bike with them and had no issues with range of motion or comfort. The fit is nice too, slim without being too skinny. (Breton tested the Slim Wooster in Dark Blue, which retails for $118)Tester #2: Tyler Lauletta, commerce reporter:At first glance, I was concerned that my Mott & Bow jeans would be too snug a fit, but once around my waist they proved quite comfortable and willing to move with my body. They strike me as a great pair of "going out" jeans; they look sharp, but are flexible and breathable enough to work up a bit of a sweat at a concert in without feeling totally gross. The amount of stretch they give makes me believe wearing them is as close as I'll ever get to understanding the "jeggings" phenomenon. (Tylertested the Slim Wooster in Dark Blue, which retails for $118)Tester #3: Jeff Dunn, commerce reporter, tech:They look like they're uncomfortable, but they're very much not. While I can't say how well they'd hold up over time, I was surprised at how little they fought me as I moved around. My pair skewed a bit on the skinny side, so people can make of that what they will. For me, they qualify as "going out" pants. A good gift for your pants-conscious dude friend. (Jeff tested the Straight-Fit Wooster in Medium Blue, which retails for $118)This article was originally published on 3/8/2016.READ THIS:I tried a shaving kit from grooming startup Harry's, and it's perfect for guys who like to keep it simpleSEE ALSO:3 new underwear companies every guy should knowDON'T MISS:5 new dress shoe companies every guy should knowJoin the conversation about this story
