4-Star WR Joshua Moore Commits to Nebraska over LSU, Texas, Others

Published by Bleacher Report on Mon, 19 Jun 2017

Joshua Moore, a 4-star wideout from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, committed to Nebraska on Sunday. He shared the news with a video and tribute to his late brother on his Twitter page:Moore, who stands 6' " and weighs 156 pounds, is considered Scout's No. 21 wide receiver prospect in the class of 2018.Gabe Brooks of Scout.com offered the following analysis:"Moore possesses a good frame for the receiver position with the requisite height to gain good bulk as he matures. He shows impressive burst with the ball in his hands, whether in the screen game or as a wildcat quarterback. Moore is a field-stretching vertical threat when lined up wide. He also flashes the ability to win balls over smaller defenders. He'll need to add weight and strength to compete against larger defensive backs in college, both as a pass-catcher and as a perimeter blocker, but the tools are there for Moore to be an impact receiver at the Power Five conference level."If you could only pick one word to describe Moore's game, it would be "fluid."Moore has all the makings of a playmaker at the next level who can not only be the top option in a passing game, eventually, but also can make an impact as a ball-carrier. Certainly, Nebraskashould be able to get him the ball in a number of unique ways to make an impact on the offensive side of the ball if Moore eventually earns a starting position. He gives the Cornhuskers a skill set that will help them compete against the likes of Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan in the Big Ten. Nebraska has won nine games in three of the last four seasons but hasn't been a legitimate national title contender in recent years.Moore will look to change that in the coming seasons.
