4-Star PF Jerome Hunter Announces Commitment to Indiana

Jerome Hunter is headed to Indiana after the 4-star power forward committed to the program Monday.The class of 2018 player announced his decision on Twitter:Hunter is listed as the No. 62 player in the country and No. 15 at his position, according to Scout.com.The Ohio native hadnarrowed his school choicesto five last month, including Michigan, Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Xavier.However, he chose the Hoosiers, making him one of three top-100 players in the past two days, asJeff Borzelloof ESPN noted. Race Thompson and Damezi Anderson also round out what is shaping up to be an elite 2018 class for new coach Archie Miller.Hunter has good size for his position at 6'7" with a long wing span and solid athleticism, helping him become a versatile player who can contribute on both ends of the court. He can dribble and create shots for himself like a guard, but he is long enough to defend multiple positions on the other end of the court.His ability to penetrate into the lane and attack the basket will easily translate to the next level, likely allowing him to make an early impact for Indiana.If he can also add strength and gain more consistency on his shot, Hunter could be a game-changing talent in the Big Ten.
