Brandon Knight Tore ACL, Will Miss Next Season with Knee Injury

Phoenix Suns guard Brandon Knight could miss the entire 2017-18 season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.The team later confirmed the news, noting the injury occurred while he was playing at home in South Florida and that he will undergo surgery.The 25-year-old appeared in 54 games last season, averaging 11.0 points and 2.4 assists in 21.1 minutes per game. He remains under contract for the next three years at over $13 million per season.Knight had averaged 19.6 points per game in 2015-16 as a starter at shooting guard, but he saw his role decrease last season with the emergence of Devin Booker.This has led to rumors about a trade, with the New York Knicks reportedly interested, according toIan Begleyof ESPN.
