Bebe to Benfica: Latest Transfer Details, Reaction and More

Manchester United took the next step in revamping their squad on Friday, completing a transfer that will see out-of-favour winger Bebe move to Portuguese side Benfica. The news was confirmed by Benfica's official Twitter account:According to Manchester United's Twitter account, Benfica wil pay3 million for the player's services, while the Reds have the right to 50 percent of any sell-on fee. Reports indicate Bebe signed a four-year deal with the Portuguese champions, although this was yet to be confirmed by the club at the time of writing.The 24-year-old winger joined the Red Devils in 2010 in a bizarre fashion, when then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson told reporters he bought the youngster without ever watching him play, per the Daily Mail's David Kent.Bebe had sensational physical tools, and United's scouts in Portugal convinced Ferguson he had to act fast.
