Cameroon to face Nigeria in Africa Women Championship final Today

By Yakubu SalisuLes Lionnes have qualified for their second African Women Championship final and will challenge Edwin Okons ladies for the trophyon Saturday.Cameroon will face Nigeria in the final of the 2014 African Women Championship in Namibia billed for the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoekon Saturday.Coach Ngachu Enows side edged out Cote divoire 2-1 after extra-time in the second semi-final game played on Wednesday night with captain Christine Manie smashing the winner in the 118th minute after regulation time scores stood at 1-1.The central defender headed in from a corner-kick to send her side to their first ever Fifa Womens World Cup.Nigeria defeated Cameroon 5-0 in the final of the 2004 edition staged in South Africa with Perpetua Nkwocha grabbing four goals in the one-sided encounter while the last goal was from Vera Okolo.
