Entire family including children aged 2, 5, and 12 killed in wrong-way crash on highway

<img src="https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/www-gofundme-com-f-help-109303415_1754558793.webp">A devastating wrong-way collision on a Colorado highway early Monday morning claimed the lives of two parents and their three young children.The family was traveling in a GMC Yukon SUV on the southbound lane of Highway 9, near mile marker 136, shortly after 7 a.m. when a Ford F-150 pickup truck crossed over from the northbound lane and struck their vehicle head-on. The impact caused both vehicles to erupt in flames, according to authorities.All five family members, Andres Cabral-Banuelos, 2; Manuel Cabral-Banuelos, 5; Maria Cabral-Banuelos, 12; Andrea Banuelos-Salazar, 30; and Manuel Cabral-Torres, 34 were pronounced dead at the scene, despite the efforts of first responders.The driver of the Ford F-150, a 25-year-old man, survived the crash but sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.<img src="https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/colorado-family-killed-car-crash-109303413_1754558809.webp">The loss of an entire family is an unspeakable tragedy, and our hearts are with all who are grieving during this incredibly difficult time, said the Grand County Coroners Office in a statement.The Cabral-Banuelos family resided in Kremmling, Colorado, a small community about 100 miles from Denver. The news has left the town and extended family in deep mourning.In a moments time, all five of them are gone. Just one person alone is tough on a lot of people, but five its just so hard, said Javier Torres-Garcia, a cousin of Manuel Cabral-Torres. His youngest was 2 and his oldest was 12. They had their whole life ahead of them. Its so sad to think about.A fundraiser has been launched by the family to help with funeral expenses and to transport the victims' bodies home. Loved ones are calling for support and unity in honor of Manuel, who was remembered as a devoted family man.He always tried to bring the family together, no matter what. Even if it was just for a day or two, hed make the time, Torres-Garcia added. Manny was a great dude. His kids were very young.
