Meet Fulani nomad kids-turned-tennis-stars

It started as an experiment about four years ago but today it has the makings of a success story. When the duo of Tobi Amore and Kabiru Ibrahim, both coaches at the lawn tennis court of the National Stadium in Abuja took the initiative to train the children of Fulani nomads whose settlement is just a stone's throw away, they were not expecting they would be creating champions who will one day go on to play in national tournaments, emerging among the top four players. But today they have seen their little experiment of sorts blossoming, even though the future of their trainees in the game of tennis still remains shaky due to inadequate support.
