IF there was any need for proof that the frequent global junketing of Nigerian leaders in search of so-called foreign investment is a waste of time ' and money ' the recent threat by the youthful British Prime Minister, David Cameron, to cut aid from nations that do not support gay rights, is it.Pray, what is the relationship between aid to economically weaker nations and the recognition of gay rights' It is now clear that even if it does come, aid from foreign countries will be tied to conditions that will only raid our bodies and souls.In this era of globalisation in the television industry, the ethical and social mores of Africa are currently under severe attacks from glamourised immorality. As cable television makes inroads into many more homes in Nigeria, strange and perverse cultures worm themselves into the hearts of the young and the impressionable, mainly.In spite of parental guidance features, which the younger and more technology-savvy children bypass anyway, our homes are being assaulted by programmes in which people unabashedly proclaim, 'I am gay.'Ughhh!I am particularly disturbed by the Jerry Springer Show on Mnet Series, which almost on a daily basis features people who openly and with glee, talk about sexual pervasion -- sister-on-sister, brother-on-brother, grandma on-brother-in-law, sister-on-brother in-law, father in-law on son's wives! And the list is not exhaustive.Almost as a rule, participants on the perverse programme tear one another apart, literally, and are separated by trained guards while the equally ill-begotten host and the audience cheer on! That is clearly unAfrican. It is practices like these that, for good reasons, fuel hatred for Western cultures by Arab nations and China.It is more of this permissive culture that Britain's Cameron wants to force down our throats as a condition for his country's so-called aid!Yet, our leaders continue to look up to the likes of Britain and other cultures that have sold their souls to perdition for help; it is to these countries that our rich and affluent send their children for education, after killing the sector in Nigeria from which they benefitted immensely in their students days.Soon, the rich will begin to cry as, in very many instances, these children who have been introduced to the permissive cultures of Europe and America, pick on the depraved habits of their hosts.Now, while conceding to Cameron and his gay advocates their right to debauchery, may we ask why his country criminalises bestiality, if we are to stretch his warped logic to its conclusion'If the sexual preferences of a man and a woman must be respected, as canvassed by Cameron and his gay rights activists soul mates, why not extend it to those whose preferences are for animals and dead persons' What is the essence of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 by which the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland criminalises several sexual activities, non-consensual voyeurism, assault by penetration, causing a child to watch a sexual act, and penetration of any part of a corpse'Why reject one depravity and seek to force another form on others'Yet, the UK has a right to frown at some perverse sexual activities and promote others within its territory, but for it to force it down the throats of other countries is most abominable.It is for this reason that the Ghanaian President, Evans John Atta Mills deserves kudos. He fired back and told 'colonial' Cameron to keep his aid.Mills declared: 'I as President of this nation will never initiate or support any attempt to legalise homosexuality in Ghana." Simple.For the avoidance of doubts, the Ghanaian leader added: 'Let me also say that while we acknowledge all the financial assistance and all the aid which has been given to us by our development partners, we will not accept any aid with strings attached if that aid will not inure to our interest or the implementation or the utilisation of that aid with strings attached would rather worsen our plight as a nation or destroy the very society that we want to use the money to improve."I repeat: While I pity those with such perverse sexual tendencies, since they did not create themselves, I can only pray that they get deliverance from a sexual taste that can only abort God's plan for recreation.What would be the reaction of Cameron if he wakes up one morning and finds his male dog mating with another male dog' If, for his own reasons, man has bypassed the process of recreation for most species by way of cloning ' most possibly of even fellow human beings ' should he turn that into a rule and not an exception'Of course, in the age of globalisation, the stronger culture is better poised to swallow up the weaker, especially in these climes where the citizens have been brainwashed to believe, almost from birth, that anything Western is superior to indigenous alternatives, even when all evidence point to the contrary.This is, however, a crusade that must be won and carried to the farthest parts of the world: Keep your aid if it is tied to conditions that will raid our souls.
