PDP set for governorship primaries in Bayelsa today

ALL is set for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Bayelsa State today.To ensure that the election holds, battle-ready troops have been deployed in Yenagoa, the state capital.But, Governor Timipre Sylva, who has been edged out of today's primaries, and some groups are not comfortable with this.Yesterday, they expressed deep concern over the massive deployment of police and troops in the state.Sylva, in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Doifie Ola, said the troop deployment was uncalled for and capable of endangering the people's fundamental human rights.
