Work on-going at Uyo Unity Market

Work at the Unity International Market, Itam-Uyo, Akwa Ibom State is on-going with the buildings at various levels of construction, the developers, Afribank Estate Company Limited, a subsidiary of Mainstreet Bank Limited, said on Friday in a statement.The project which is being developed and promoted by the firm, commenced a few months ago, and had been almost fully subscribed to.The complex on which it is partnering with the State government, the statement added, was conceptualised to allow for mortgage facility from Aso Savings and Loans Plc. This would be made available to trade groups and qualified individuals, repayable within a reasonable period of five years, it explained.The firm said, It is a very convenient and affordable arrangement whereby potential beneficiaries are given full possession of their shops after paying the required commitment deposit while the mortgage provider offsets the balance and the shop owner pays back (to the mortgage provider) through installments over a period of time at a reasonable rate of interest.
