Imesi-Ile traditional ruler charges indigenes on peaceful co-existence

A traditional rulerin Osun State,Oba Enoch Ademola Akinyemi-Oyoyo 11, Owa Ooye of Imesi-Ile, has admonished its citizens to allow peace to reign among them in order to move the ancient community forward.Oba Akinyemi made this known at this year Imesi-Ile Day, held at the Palace Square of the town recently.The traditional ruler stressed further, "It is when everybody lives together as one body that progress can be made. Peace brings so many things into the society, So, we must ensure peace at all times, so as to write the name of Imesi-Ile in gold to the outside world."The community leader said further, "my people should also stop internal enemity or rancour, this will also bring development to the town, be it social or economic wise"."I also use this opportunity to call on all and sundry, in Imesi-Ile to start contributing their quota to the development of their fatherland".Speaking with Community News at the annual occasion, the Chairman of Imesi-Ile Descendant Union (IDU), Osogbo branch, Mr .David Olusola Oni, urged the sons and daughters of the town to always come home and partake in the development of the ancient town.Oni also appealed to its brethrens to lift up the status of the town, "because not all that we need can be provided for by the government in power, because of the numerous projects at their hand," he retorted."I also want the people of my home town to support the incumbent administration for them to benefit from the dividends of democracy," Oni charged.
