Jonathan: If not God, I would have been destroyed

THE President yesterday thanked God for sparing his life since he joined politics in 1998 as a running mate to former Governor Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).He said if not for divine intervention, he would have been pushed aside and destroyed in the process because 'many of the politicians in the country want to destroy occupant of an office to get there'.Jonathan spoke at his 54th birthday event at the State House Chapel, Abuja.He later cut the cake for the celebration.
