Czech players fined for wild celebration

The Czech football federation has fined its national team players for an inappropriate celebration of their qualification for the 2012 European Championship.The federations executive committee fined the squad two million koruna ($106,500) on Monday for an incident that took place after the team clinched a berth at next years tournament in Poland and Ukraine in Podgorica on November 15.After beating Montenegro 1-0 in the second leg of their playoffs, and 3-0 overall, the Czech players chanted a derogatory slogan about former Czech international striker Radek Drulak who criticised the teams poor performance in qualifying.Captain Tomas Rosicky has apologised.The federation said it would not tolerate such behaviour in the future.
