NSSF applauds fair play at schools sports festival

President of the Nigeria School Sports Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammad, has applauded the fair play spirit exhibited by the football teams at the National Schools Sports Festival holding in Calabar, Cross River State. He said that Nestle Milothe sponsors of the football eventwere using the idea of developing football as a way of promoting unity among Nigerians due to the interest and love of an average Nigerian for football.He prayed that the same spirit touches on all other events at the competition.In the 5,000m for senior boys, Gideon Amos of Adamawa took gold in 16:12.22 leaving the duo of Kadunas Suleiman Abubakar and Bivan Daniel to settle for silver and bronze respectively in 16: 15.54 and 16:28.76.Elizabeth Ipuele of Cross River won the gold in the 3,000m senior girls coasting home in 10:39.09. Blessing Michael of Kaduna was second in 10:43.09 while Blessing Ayang of Cross River took bronze with a timing of 10:47.09.
