2011 Speaker's Cup begins

Iru Victoria Island defeated Ikoyi Obalende 1-0 in Zone 1 in one of the opening games of the Lagos Speakers on Tuesday. Coker Aguda overcame hard-fighting Surulere 4-1 on penalties after full time ended 2-2 in the other zones game. Eti-Osa and Eti-Osa East were both absent as Lagos Island conquered Itire-Ikate 5-3.In Zone 2, Oto Awori were beaten 3-1 by Ojo while Badagry West defeated Badagry 5-4. Iba beat Olorunda 2-0.Ojodu trounced Apapa-Igamu 3-0 as Ajeromi lost to Oriade 6-5. Amuwo-Odofin also beat Ifelodun 6-5 in Zone 3. Orile Agege proved too strong for Ojuwoye winning 4-3 while Isolo lost to Agege 3-2 in a thrilling match in Zone 4. Mushin earned a hard fought 1-0 win over Ifako-Ijaye as Oshodi/Isolo also defeated Ayobo by the same margin.Igbogbo Bayeku were beaten 1-0 by Ikorodu West in Zone 5 while Imota, Ijede and Ikorodu Central all walked over Ikorodu North, Agboyi Ketu and Ikorodu Central respectively.
