You must develop Igbeti town,LG boss tasks members

MEMBERS of thecaretakercommittee of Olorunsogo Local Government Area, Igbeti in Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State, have been urged to see their appointment as a call to duty and not an avenue to amass wealth.The Chairman, Caretaker committee, Comrade Oyebisi Raimi Ajibola, gave the charge during the swearing-in ceremony held at the T.V. Viewing Centre, Igbeti, the headquarters of Olorunsogo Local Government.Comrade Oyebisi urged the appointees to jump-start the development of Igbeti, adding that though, the road may be rough and tough, he assured them that there was nothing they cannot do as a joint venture.'It is not for fun that this crack-team is put together. Those who assemble this team believe we can do it, let us therefore, work together to lift the council up and justify the confidence reposed in us by the leaders of the party.'The council boss, however, called on his committee members to jettison their enjoyment and work assiduously to justify the confidence the governor, the party leaders and the people of the council have in them so as to carve a niche for themselves in the annals of the local government.Comrade Oyebisi who was elated following the successful event, thanked God and the people of the area for allowing peace before and after the ceremony.The council boss while speaking with newsmen advised the committee members to be transparent, success-driven and not to allow monetary gains to be their target.He described the inclusion of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in the committee as a demonstration of government of national unity (GNU) and to prove to the whole world that Action Congress of Nigeria (CAN) was not a party that believed in winners take all it all.
