Yenagoa LG hinges infrastructure on peace

The chairman ofYenagoa LocalGovernment Area, Hon. Mike Ogbolos-ingha, has said that steady infrastructural development in Yenagoa Constituency III can only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility existed within the area.Towards this end, he implored politicians, particularly under the aegis of Okordia-Zarama-Biseni Democrats [OZBD], to foster peace and unity within the precinct of the local government council, so that the people could explore the impacts of democratic governance to the fullest.Hon Ogbolosingha, who stated this in a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr G.R Elekele, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent, maintained that 'everybody in Bayelsa must contribute meaningfully to sustain peaceful atmosphere in the state.'We all owe it a duty to project the image of this state positively by playing active role in supporting peace and tranquility so that socio-economic and infrastructural development being witnessed in the administration of the state governor, Chief Timipre Sylva can continue unabated', the council boss remarked.Ologbosingha, who is also the most senior patron of OZBD, asserted in the release that 'though the number of this group is minimal, but with united voice, we can further support the peace initiative of the governor and shore up support base for him', he added.Meanwhile, the Majority Leader of the Yenagoa Legislative Arm, Honourable Ayaye Obuma, has described the chairman of the local government as unique in terms of performance and commitment towards the healthy growth of the council.
