April polls: Oyo NSCDC takes delivery of bomb detectors, CCTVs

In preparation for the general election, the Oyo State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken delivery of some equipment such as closed circuit televisions, bomb detectors, sniffer dogs, among others, towards ensuring free, fair and credible elections in the state.The commands Public Relations Officer, Mr. Oluwole Olusegun,in a statement in Ibadan, on Wednesday,quoted the state Commandant, Mr. Stephen Bello, as saying that the release of the equipment was a follow up to recent trainings given to the officials of the NSCDC on counter-terrorism, anti-vandalism, nuclear and biochemical intelligence as well as information gathering.According to him, the trainings and the equipment provided were for disaster management for the purpose of effective monitoring and supervision of the April elections.
