Ali Isiba residents commend grading of street

Residents of  Alli Isiba and its adjoining streets in Sango Ota area of Ogun State have commended  the  grading of some of the major streets in the area, in less than two weeks after the Community  News beamed its searchlight  on the area.A former  House of Representatives, member from the area, Honourable Jimoh Ojugbele has commenced repair works on Semiu Babatunde   Streets, Bisi Oluwole Crescent, Mukaila Lawal Street and Reverend Shodiaya way .Some  of the residents, who spoke with  Community News, described the repair of the deplorable road as timely   and  commended  the former  honourable member, who is seeking re election.Tope Ola, a resident of Reverend Shodiya Way,  stated that the grading of Reverend Shodiya Way  and  Semiu Babatunde Street,  was aserious boost for residents of the area.Tope stated that rainy season had always brought sadness, rather than joy to the residents of Alli Isiba  as the roads usually became so bad  that commercial motorcyclists avoided taking passengers there .In her words, we just pray that it does not rain for some time, for  this road to take its proper shape  and save us from the pains  of mud and stagnant water that we had experienced in the past  She added that the residents had, in the past, tried to see  if they could  contribute to grade the roads but  could not because of  the exorbitant demand from the equipment leasing company that was contacted.Another resident  of  Semiu Babatunde Street,  who simply identified himself  as Kehinde,  also   commended the grading of the road  and described it asa new  thing to the people of the area He stated that he had thought that the grading of the road was another of thoseempty promises from politicians,  since elections time is around the corner.He, however, called on the  local government authority in the area to improve on what Honourable Ojugbele had done  byensuring that the roads were properly asphalted.
