Issues in Igbo quest for the top job

Can the Igbo people of the South East zone put their acts together to get the presidency in 2015' AKINJIDE AKINTOLA examines their strength and weaknesses. SHORTLY after the 78th birthday celebration of Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, South-East political leaders comprising governors, members of the Federal Executive Council and national assembly members from the zone met in Enugu to discuss matters concerning the zone. Though the leaders declined to say what was discussed at the meeting which lasted for about four hours at the Enugu Government House, it was believed to be in connection with the Igbo Presidency Project in 2015.Another issued said to have featured at themeeting was the creation of an additional state from the zone.
