BRAZILIAN legend, Socrates has admitted that he has had problems with alcohol in the past, but states that he is not dependent on the drug.The 57-year-old has suffered from medical issues over the last two years, and has been admitted to hospital in his homeland with complications regarding his liver and small intestine.After his latest release, the 60-times-capped midfielder has spoken candidly about his past."I never had many problems with alcohol because I was not addicted," the Belem do Para-born man told SporTV Reporter."All the time I interacted with alcohol as if it were a partner, but I never had withdrawal symptoms. I spent long periods without use."I do not feel like drinking. It is five months since I put a drop of alcohol in my mouth.
