IMO State indigenes resident in Kano state have called on their home state governor, Rochas Okorocha, not to be distracted by the recent sack of workers of Imo origin by the Abia State government, saying it should serve as a challenge.Disclosing this to pressmen recently, in Kano, shortly after his election as the president-general of Imo State Indigenes Association, Kano branch, High Chief C.U. Osuji, tasked Governor Okorocha to remain focused and ensure that those who were sacked by the Abia State government got a place in the state civil service. He added that though, the action of the Abia State governor, Chief T.A. Though, the reason he gave by sacking the workers from other eastern states was to reform the state civil service so as to create opportunities for unemployed Abians, one should have expected him to have consulted his colleagues before sending the workers packing.'In this light, I want to describe Chief Orji's action as rash and inadequate, but other governors should take it in good faith instead of making troubles with him,' Chief Osuji stated.
