Ex-militants refutes MEND's corruption claims

Augustine Aminu Ex-militants under the auspices of Third Phase Ex-militants have debunked recent corruption claims made by the Movement of the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, against President Goodluck Jonathan.Both national leaders of the ex-agitators, Tam Odogwu of Delta State and Julius Joseph of Bayelsa State who said this in Abuja at described MENDs utterance as unguided and reckless, as it was not in the interest of ex-militants in the region.Odogwu said: We in Third Phase Amnesty for Ex-militants condemn in its entirety the purported, unguided and reckless utterances of the self-assumed MENDs spokesman, Jomo Gbomo, for making statements that are not in the interest of ex-militants in the Niger Delta region.It is unfortunate for this group called MEND led by Jomo Gbomo to raise claims on corruption and neglect against President Goodluck Jonathan and describing him as enemy to the people in the Niger Delta. It is not only baseless and disappointing but also misconceived, misleading and an absolute distortion of facts.
