Murray to play in Hopman Cup

The Great Britain top seed Andy Murray will play his next tournament at 2012 Hyundai Hopman Cup, schedule to begin on 1st January, 2012 at the Burswood Dome in Perth.The three-time Grand Slam finalist Murray has ended-up his finest season with groin injury, sustained at the 2011 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at Arena O2 this week. Murray, who has withdrawn from the ATP World Tour Finals on Tuesday, where he has to play second round robin match against Czech Republic top seed Tomas Berdych.The 24-year-old Murray will begin his season with 2012 Hyundai Hopman Cup, which it is schedule to begin from 1st to 7th January, an annual international team tennis championship held at the Burswood Dome in Perth. Later, Murray will take part in the AAMI classic tournament, being played here at the Kooyong Stadium in Kooyong in Melbourne, before heading into the years first Grand Slam Australian Open in Melbourne.The World No. 3 Murray has won five ATP Tour titles at Queens Club, Cincinnati Masters, Thailand Open, Japan Open and Shanghai Masters in this season. Scot also appeared in the 2011 Australian Open final in January, before falling to World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in three sets and reached the semi finals at Wimbledon, French Open and US Open. Murray has surpassed Federer to move one place to No. 3 in the ATP Rankings, after winning three consecutive Asian titles last month.
