Published by Daily Trust on Mon, 28 Nov 2011

The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) Presidential Candidate, Retired General Muhammadu Buhari, has said that he will not quit politics until good governance and sustainable democracy is entrenched in Nigeria.Buhari pointed out that he will grant the press a 'full page interview' on his future political direction after the Supreme Court delivers judgment on the presidential election.Speaking at an empowerment programme initiated by Honourable Muhammad Ali, the representative of Kawo Constituency in the State House of Assembly, he charged CPC supporters to get ready and prepare for 2015 polls.Advising his supporters to shun violence and vote credible leaders and representatives at all levels of election, the retired general charged politicians and public office holders to shun fraud and corruption.'I endorsed Muhammad Ali's empowerment initiative because Nigeria is too rich to be poor,' he added. On his part Mohammed Ali explained that more than 550 people including women, youths and students have benefited from his skills acquisition and human capacity building programme. He also noted that 250 women were trained in various hand crafts and trades. 70 youths were also enrolled for skills acquisition while he assisted ten female students to secure admission to study health sciences.Daily Trust also gathered that the legislator is sponsoring 100 indigent and orphaned students as well as another 100 to undergo a three-year basic apprenticeship training in different skills to make them self reliant.
