CHIEF coach of Nigeria's U-23 side, Austin Eguavoen admitted he faces a difficult task in preparing his boys for the last group match at the on going CAF U-23 Olympics qualifier holding in Morocco.Nigeria is almost dead and buried as far as qualifying for the London 2012 Olympics male football event is concerned after losing her first two matches to host Morrocco and Senegal.The team goes into its final group match against Algeria tomorrow with the slimmest chance of booking a semi final place in the tourney.A 3-0 win over the young Desert Foxes and a loss of same margin by Senegal to Morocco could still see earn the team a place in the last four but this the players themselves are unsure will be achievable going by their reactions to the loss at the hands of the Senegalese.Eguavoen, who confirmed that the players were down psychologically confessed that it will take a lot of work from the technical crew to prepare the boys for tomorrow's game against Algeria.Speaking moments after the loss to the Junior Teranga Lions, the former Super Eagles handler said the boys seem not ready for the last group match, meaning that much work would have to be done on their psyche.''It's not so easy, we need to do a lot of psychological work on the boys because many of them think it's all over, but I have to let them know it's not over until it's over,'' maintained Eguavoen.''We will fight hard and talk a lot more to the boys many of whom started to cry immediately after the game. We need to pick the last three points and leave the rest to fate.''Eguavoen said he will take the responsibility for the team's second loss in the series after they fell 1-0 to hosts Morocco at the weekend.''I take responsibility for this result. The game did not go the way we planned because the boys did not keep to instructions in the first half,'' he lamented.He said he started out against Senegal with a 4-3-3 formation and when they struggled to adapt to it, they had to revert to the more familiar 4-4-2 formation.
