Bode George was brilliant, neat and a jester

Madam Grace Fagbenro is a retired teacher. From the then rural life of Ijebu-Ode in the present day Ogun State, she came to Lagos around December 1947 and started teaching. Among the very many prominent people she taught in various schools in the state is a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode Ibiyinka George, who she taught in Primary Two. Instructively, Mrs. Fagbenro has been married for the past 56 years to her husband. When GEOFFREY EKENNA met her in her home in Lagos, Mrs. Fagbenro, who will be 80 next year recounted her experience in teaching and provided some tips on how to make a successful home.
