Robbers attack NNPC depot, banks in Suleja

BARELY a week after the disappearance of vehicles snatched at gun-point from their owners, armed robbers attacked two banks located within the premises of the Nigerian National petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Suleja depot, Niger State, and carted away N 4.9 million yesterday.The robbers, who posed as regular customers to the depot had their guns and other dangerous weapons concealed under their clothing and, therefore, had no difficulty gaining entrance into the premises.The 12-man gang, who may have also taken their time to survey the surrounding and, therefore, took advantage of the porous security network, according to eyewitness account, and trailed a bullion van to the depot.
