Beach Eagles regroup for COPA Lagos today

THE Beach Eagles will begin camping today at the Lagos V.I.P. Chalets, Badagry ahead of the Four-Nation Invitation Beach soccer tournament tagged COPA Lagos.Coach of the Beach Eagles, Adamu Audu, in a chat with Tribunesports in Lagos disclosed that 15 players have been invited to vie for shirts in the tornament scheduled to run from December 16 to18 at the EKO Atlantic.The Kogi State-born tactician stressed that the experience garnered at the just-concluded Dubai 2011 Beach soccer Inter continental cup will be put to bear at COPA Lagos, where Nigeria will tackle South Africa, England and Brazil.'We finished fifth at Dubai 2011 and I'm very optimistic that we would achieve a better result this time, more so that we are hosting the competition,'Adamu said.The former BCC Lions goalkeeper gave the names of invited players for COPA Lagos as follows: Abdul Isah (Plateau United), Oladipo Olalekan (Owibeseb FC), Isiaka Olawale (Kwara United), Ogbonaya Okemmiri (Kwara United), Victor Tale (Bassa United), Abu Azeez (Bridge FC), Nelson Onyekachi (Warri Wolves), Emeka Ogbona (Owibeseb), Badmus Babatunde (Badagry BB), Bob Williams (Dolphins), Fuad Ekelojuoti (Bridge FC), Edwin Okpave, Yakubu Azeez (peoples club, Lagos) and Emmanuel Ohwoteria (Owibesebi FC).
