Dream team arrives today

PLAYERS and officials of the National U-23 team, the Dream team will arrive the country today, after a disappointing outing at the ongoing Africa U-23 championship, in Morocco, just as the Nigeria Premier League highest goal scorer, Jude Aneke rues disappointing outing with the U23 team at the Championship.The Olympic Eagles finished third in group A following defeats to host Morocco and Senegal.Despite an impressive outing against Algeria in its last group game which it won 4-1, the Nigerian side crashed out, thereby failing to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.The ouster of the Olympic Eagles saw Chief Coach of the side, Austin Eguavoen, calling it quit and completing a disappointing year for Nigeria where its National team, the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations while the Female side, the Super Falcons were unsuccessful in its Olympic games qualifying series.The Dream team will depart Casablanca at midnight to arrive Lagos by 5am.Meanwhile, the Kaduna United goal poacher who is Belgium bound upon his return to Nigeria stated that ''it is most unfortunate that he could not score in the championship as a striker, I feel very bad about this as a striker who was expected to score goals, but with time things will change'', he said.
