Mayor FC wins Oba Babington Ashaye Cup

MAYOR FC of Ogere has emerged the Champion of the 4th edition of Oba Obafuwa Babington Ashaye Club Soccer Championship played.They defeated Lobi Stars of Ogere by 4-3 via penalty shootout after the scoreline ended goalless within regulation time.The sporting event was organised to commemorate the 35th Lipakala Day festival of Ogere Remo, Ogun State.While the Fairplay award went to Adulawo FC, Ogere, the Best Coach of the Tournament Award was received by Mr Laja Otasanya of Chicago FC, Ogere. Earlier, a friendly football match between Bricklayers and Carpenters Football Teams ended in favour of the former 5-4 via penalty shootout.
