Adekunle AjasinUniversity,Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) has begun collaboration talks with the Indiana University Purdue University (IUPU), Indianapolis, the United States of America (USA), to further deepen and strengthen the two institutions' academic programmes.A don at the USA varsity, Professor Bessie House-Soremekun, led a team to begin discussion with the management of the AAUA.The vice chancellor of AAUA, Professor Femi Mimiko, requested for collaboration in the areas of student exchange, staff exchange and library resource sharing.Professor Mimiko, who highlighted the achievements of the university, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, staff development and quality of curriculum, said the university had earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four other foreign universities.According to her, 'the proposed MoU with IUPU would further strengthen our efforts towards the globalisation of the university.'Responding, Professor House-Soremekun said, 'we will be delighted to work with Adekunle Ajasin University under the MoU. We are not going to sign on behalf of our university, but we will be able to advocate the development of the MoU.'We are going to ensure that we partner your university in the areas of entrepreneurship development, student exchange and library resource,' she said.
