Adamawa Speaker, deputy impeached

SPEAKER of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sadiq Ibrahim, and his deputy, Mrs. Wale Fwa, were yesterday impeached by their colleagues.The removal of the Assembly's principal officers was sequel to 'a motion of constitutional concern'' raised by a member of the Assembly, Jerry Kundisi (ACN-Gombi), who presented a letter, signed by 22 of the 25 lawmakers, calling for a change of the House leadership, Mrs. Fwa, who presided over the plenary sitting, thanked the House members for the opportunity given to her and Ibrahim to serve after reading the letter.
