Swish Comics making waves at the British Council Creative Expo in Lagos

SWISH COMICS, the first of its kind educational comic classicsin Nigeria, is one of the creative exhibitors at the British Councils' first Creative Expo taking place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos from 5th - 7th December 2011.Swish Comics which was launched in Lagos in September 2011, is a quarterly publication for children of Primary School age in Nigeria, aimed at helping improve their spoken and written English grammar, increasing their vocabularyand encouraging reading. It will also benefit Nigerian children in the Diaspora, as it will help bridge the communication gap between them and their friends/relatives who visit them from Nigeria or who they visit in Nigeria.The Script writer/Creative Director, Dotty Gbemudu-Otite, speaking to the Guardian newspaper at the Creative Expo expressed her excitement at the opportunity the Creative Expo presents to Swish Comics. She went on to say that taking part in such a rewarding exhibition has put Swish Comics on a higher pedestal for local and international collaboration.The Swish brand unveiled its latest Swish Christmas Stockings and wicker basket gift range for children, which is packed with educational stocking fillers and other treats for children over the holiday season. The most intriguing of the educational stocking fillers is the Swish mini- Ayo game with colourful beads which she revealed has been a real sell out at the exhibition.
