No going back on privatisation of PHCN, say Reps

House of Representatives' Committee of Power Sector has said that despite the opposition mounting against the planned privatisation of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria Plc (PHCN), there was no going back in inviting investors to take over the power company and the entire deregulation of the electricity industry.The Chairman, House Committee on Power, Mr. Patrick Ikhariale, who stated this during the committee members' inspection tour of facilities of the Eko and Ikeja distribution companies in Lagos, equally disclosed that the United States (U.S.) had made available $1.8 billion for investors into the Nigerian power sector to access.
