Moral rebirth

For Nigeria to take its rightful place in the comity of nations, there is an urgent need for a moral rebirth of the citizens which, to me, should be championed by religious leaders. Nigerians hold religious leaders in very high esteem. Hence, religious leaders should exhibit optimum responsibility in inculcating values such as sincerity, forthrightness, truthfulness, transparency, honesty, integrity, love, kindness, and sacrifice in the people. These values are sure antidotes to corruption, Nigerias hydra-headed monster. For Nigeria to achieve greatness, corruption must be removed from its roots. Each Nigerian is to be reconscientised to appreciate, imbibe and practise the values stated above. This is certainly not a days job.
