Ex-militants protest in Abuja

About 1,000 exmilitants will thismorning storm Abuja to protest their non-inclusion in the third phase of the amnesty programme.The ex-militants from all the Niger Delta states converged in Warri on Wednesday for onward movement to the Federal Capital Territory for the protest.Nigerian Tribune counted about 30 buses which conveyed the ex-militants which were allegedly provided by a prominent Ijaw politician.'We are going to Abuja to protest against our non-inclusion in the third phase of the amnesty programme. We have written several petitions but the Federal Government failed to act on them. This time around, they must be forced to act on our request,' an ex-militant said.It was gathered that undercover security agents monitored their movements before they left on Wednesday evening for Abuja.
