Oyo community extols Awele's efforts in death

THE final outing of Madam Limotalai Adedoyin Awele will hold on Saturday, 10th December, in Oyo town.The entire members of the Oyo community were in sad mood, when the news of the death of Awele filtered into the town recently.According to Mr Onaolapo Tajudeen Adegbiji, one of the children of the deceased, the old woman died after a brief illness at the age of 95.Madam Awele, a princess of the Alowolodu Ruling House of Oyo, was a pioneer leader of the Sabo famers Association in Sabo Market, Oyo and she contributed immensely to the development of the market. She was also a community leader.Speaking about the deceased, the Chief Imam of Oyo, Sheik Mashood Adebayo, urged the children and others in the community to follow the foot steps of the late old woman who gave everything to the society without expecting any earthly reward, adding without mincing words, she would be bountifully rewarded in the hereafter.It was also gathered that the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, would be represented at the burialShe was survived by other children including Risikat, Afusat Fatai Malaba; and Oseni, Aminat, Akeem and Saudat Alabanla.
