PEOPLE of Osun State have been ad-vised not to be involved in any activity that may cause fire outbreak during the dry season.The Director of Fire Services in the state, Mr Timothy Olaniyi Ogunje, gave the advice while speaking with Community News at Oke-Fia, Osogbo, recently.According to him, 'people should be careful in the dry season and they should know that playing with fire at this crucial period is dangerous.'People should desist from any act capable of triggering fire disaster, one of which is bush burning, keeping petrol at home, among others.'We don't pray for any fire outbreak, but our people need to be re-oriented, and this is why we organised seminars and lectures to sensitise the people of the state across the board to avoid fire disaster.'He also said that the agency had met members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and other transport unions in the state, traders at various markets, as well as grass-roots dwellers to do everything possible to avoid fire outbreak.He said, 'my men are fully ready to prevent any fire outbreak, while I also want to appreciate the efforts of the state government towards improving the services of the agent in the state.
