WE CONTINUE this week with the second part of chemical (spiritual) warfare, which we began talking about last week. In Genesis 3: 6, after the devil had deceived Eve, it is written, 'And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat.'Our food today, having been refined and processed, looks inviting and enticing to the eyes so much so that people cannot resist them. They look good for food but unknown to you, covered in all those looks is deception and death. What about drugs and alcohol (cocaine, Indian hemp, heroine, 'hot' drink')They give a false impression that they can make one wise, a feeling of euphoria. While the effect lasts the consumer is deceived into thinking that he even owns the world, delusion of grandeur (a belief that you are more important than you actually are).There is what is referred to as toxic or acidic emotions, which include anger, bitterness, hatred, stress and fear. These leave acidic wastes in the body and a bad taste in the mouth. This is the plan of the devil even to recruit mankind into his army to war against himself.The food that we eat, the water that we drink, the pollution in the atmosphere and so on as discussed earlier are all acidic. Inside the body they cause acidity of the 100 trillion cells of the body. The body was created by GOD to be alkaline and alkalinity promotes life. All the functions of the body produce acidic waste and acidity promotes infection, decay and death. Under normal circumstances the acidic waste products from the cells are eliminated as fast as they are generated.The chemical spiritual warfare going on in the body is between the alkaline and acidic minerals and the target is the life of the individual, which is the blood. For the life of the flesh is in the blood ''' (Leviticus 17: 11a.) There is a well-established system in the body that ensures that the pH of the blood is strictly maintained at 7.4 (7.35). Even if the pH of the water in the tissues and the cells fluctuates, that of the blood must remain constant.Alkaline minerals are always found in the blood. If for any reason these minerals become short in the blood the body will make a demand of them from stores such as the muscles and the bones. The bones have the largest calcium deposits in the body, while large amounts of magnesium are found in the muscles. When there is a deficiency of these minerals, the stores begin to release them so as to maintain a constant pH in the blood. If this situation continues for a long time signs of deficiency of these minerals will begin to show.Osteoporosis is caused by a deficiency of calcium for instance. In chemical warfare the devil is fighting hard to destabilise this mechanism so as to render the blood vulnerable. The pH of the blood must be maintained at an alkaline level. It cannot dare to be acidic. An acidic pH in the blood will cause a depletion of the oxygen content and destroy the other nutrients present in the blood. This will severely affect cellular respiration and generation of energy in the body. The goal is to acidify and then destroy the blood (life) of the individual. The devil wants to kill you by destroying the life (alkalinity) in your blood.Now, attacking the blood directly may be a more difficult battle even for the devil because of the perfect defense system that GOD put in place to protect the life in the blood. Still using the weapon of acid the devil has decided to attack the 100 trillion cells in the human body. These can withstand some amount of acidity for some time.Knowing this the devil has sustained these attacks over the years and not only that he has recruited man to help him fight against man. All those things that look good for food that are not, the drinks ' beverages and alcohol that we have thought to be a good replacement for water, that are not, the polluted air that we inhale on a daily basis, the toxic emotions that come to us by manipulation, I can go on and on. All these are the weapons that the devil deploys in prosecuting this battle against man.Added to this, is the fact that we are not drinking sufficient water and so dehydration has set in and acidity gets worse by the day. The battle is raging and the process that would lead to the establishment of the chronic degenerative diseases later in life has commenced. The world refers to these diseases as diseases of old age. People are not relenting in eating, drinking and breathing in the wrong things. Water that would have single ' handedly won this battle for us has been severely adulterated even from source. Hardly can you find water from the earth with enough chemicals naturally in it to make it alkaline.What can we do to turn the table against the devil' We can begin by going back to the Genesis 1: 29 diet that God gave to man at the time of creation. Together with water that was in abundant supply in the Garden of Eden and the Promised Land, this diet was to ensure that sickness would never be our portion.Man was not created to be sick, much less to die of any form of illness in old age. Methuselah and the rest of them just died and it was never reported in the Bible that they fell ill and died of a protracted illness, like we hear these days.
