All eyes on Eko Atlantic Beach as Copa Lagos venue takes shape

AS the construction of the impressive state-of-the-art Beach Soccer Stadium nears completion, the spotlight and attention will inevitably be on both Eko Atlantic Beach and the Copa Lagos Beach Soccer tournament, which kicks off next Friday.Workers at the Eko Atlantic site have been working tirelessly alongside Malaysian engineers, Raja and Chong, to ensure the 2,000 plus-seater stadium will be completed on time and to perfection.Owners of the stadium, Kinetic Sports, told journalists yesterday that they have spared no expense to purchase the venue and provide VIP stands for the best views in the house. Not content with that, Kinetic Sports has ensured that the site also boasts VIP catering, VIP lounge fully equipped with the latest TV monitors, while powerful air conditioning units have also been brought in.According to the Managing Director of Kinetic Sports, Samson Adamu, Copa Lagos promises to be something unique and exciting. He said: 'In addition to the facilities inside the stadium, around the venue there will be a huge inflatable football game, a bespoke concert stage and the Copa Lagos experience tunnel and concession area.'He added that the VIP Lounge would offer all the comfort and exciting surprises to Copa Lagos special guests in an atmosphere of glamour and beach style, noting: 'All of this will be set up against the stunning backdrop of Eko Atlantic Beach.'Copa Lagos holds from December 16 to 18with four countries - Brazil, England, South Africa and Nigeria - competing for the giant trophy and other prizes.
